Brand-Rex simplex and duplex cables are designed around a 2.8mm ruggedised fibre unit. This r    obust construction is ideal for short run indoor patching or for use where frequent handling is likely, for example equipment rooms or wiring closets. Each cable is jacketed in yellow low smoke, zero halogen material. Fibres are buffered to 900 micron and can be used with standard ST and SC connectors and adaptors.

Brand-Rex unitube loose armoured fibre optic cables are suitable for internal/external applications which require either direct burial or rodent protection. Each cable is constructed from a number of 250 micron multimode 62.5/125 fibres, contained in a gel filled tube, which is surrounded by water blocking glass yarn strength members and jacketed with a low smoke, zero halogen black inner sheath. This is covered with a layer of steel tape to provide mechanical protection. A black low smoke zero halogen outer sheath is then applied.
