The HP Surestore DLT vs80i provides reliable, affordable backup for IT managers with mid-range servers. Through its scalable, tried-and-trusted DLT technology, it provides peace of mind for data protection. The DLT vs80i uses a standard DLTtape IV data cartridge and can read cartridges written by DLT 4000 and DLT1 tape drives. Each cartridge provides up to 80 GB of data storage with up to 6 MBps compressed transfer rate. An 80 GB backup can be completed in less than 4 hours. The vs80i is an internal unit packaged in a half-height form factor. A complete solution, the HP DLT vs80i includes cables, mounting tray, media, cleaning cartridge and backup software, and is compatible with leading servers, operating systems, and backup software. The cleaning cartridge is specially formulated to reduce particle buildup and to restore the thin-film MR recording head to peak performance.
